Fall brings with it so much fun and activity! It seems like we’re rushing off to a party or get-together every time we turn around. Between Halloween, tailgating, birthdays and Thanksgiving there is just so much to celebrate this time of year. And while we definitely enjoy all the festive sweet treats, we didn’t want to leave our savory friends out of the celebrations this year. So I complied a list of my favorite 18 Savory Party Foods for Fall to help us all savor the season a little more.

I don’t think any gathering is complete without something sweet & something to savor.

What’s fall food without pumpkin? It’s an obvious starting point for this list! This Savory Pumpkin Hummus takes the dip game to a whole new level. Pair it with pita chips or veggie sticks for some extra healthy crunch.

How cute are these Jack-O-Lantern Doritos? Almost too sweet to eat!

One of our favorite fall activities is apple picking at the beautiful orchards not too far from home. These Smoked Proscuitto Wrapped Apple Bites are surely on our list of savory party foods for fall to make with our freshly-picked apple haul!

Ok, raise your hand if you like tater tots…We do! And are pretty sure everyone digs this delicious snack. But we’ve found a recipe that puts a fall twist on a fan favorite: Butternut Tots With Spicy Maple Mustard! Uh, yes please! Making your own tots from scratch isn’t quite as easy as popping the frozen ones into the oven, but rest assured that the extra effort is well worth it for the extra flavor.

This next recipe is inspired by Harry Potter (any fanatics out there?). The Pumpkin Pasties of your HP dreams come to life in these savory little pockets of pumpkin-y goodness.

Yes, we know avocados are typically a summer crop. But, because these recipe calls for sweet potato, which is totally a fall flavor, we are letting it slide. Plus, here in the U.S. we are blessed with beautifully ripe avocados year round, so we will not be denied in any season ;) Spicy Shrimp and Guacamole on Sweet Potato “Toasts” are packed with flavor and real pretty to look at.

Spicy Brown Sugar Bacon-Wrapped Little Smokies. Enough said.

We love munching on roasted pumpkin seeds this time of year and found a fun new recipe to try. This Turmeric Roasted Pumpkin Seeds recipe calls for pepitas, which are the little green, raw pumpkin seeds, but we think the leftover seeds from pumpkin carving would fare just as well. Which do you like best?

Let’s add some spice into this list with our Shishito Pepper and Cream Cheese Wontons! These guys are the perfect finger food for a game-watching gathering, pairing nicely with a crisp beer, which takes down the heat just a notch. Bet you can’t eat just one!

Pizza + pumpkin = yasss. When looking for savory party foods -ry out this Pancetta, Kale, & Pumpkin Flatbread to add some fall flavor to everyone’s favorite.

We’re always looking for a new way to reinvent a classic grilled cheese sandwich. Pop some Persimmon Proscuitto and Brie Grilled Cheese wedges onto a fun fall-themed plate for a gourmet spin on a sandwich everyone can agree on.

Butternut squash is another orange vegetable (or is it a fruit?) we can’t get enough of during the fall season. We love it roasted, in soups, and sprinkled onto salads. But, these Butternut Squash Fritters are definitely the most unique recipe we’ve seen featuring the sweet squash. This recipe only has 5 ingredients so it’s super easy to make, and we’re sure even the pickiest little goblins & ghouls will munch them right down!

If you’re more partial to pumpkin, we’ve got a Parmesan Pumpkin Fritter recipe that’s just for you. These crispy-on-the-outside and chewy-on-the-inside treasures are served up with Thai sweet chili sauce for some extra finger-licking goodness…we won’t tell if you won’t!

We’re suckers for anything bright and colorful and this Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Dip is no exception. Roasted root vegetables pack in the flavors of fall, and this dip is so beautiful, it’s perfect for party throwing.

Mini pumpkins make a debut in this fun fall appetizer: Cheddar Pumpkins! Let the kids get in on the action and help roll little cheese balls and shape them into mini pumpkins. Add pretzel sticks for the stems and parsley for the leaves and then get to nibbling!

Bacon & Parmesan Brussels Sprouts Skewers. Because veg (read: everything) is better with bacon.

Our next app looks quite gourmet and pretty on the plate, but is beyond simple to make! These Stuffed Goat Cheese and Pistachio Figs are absolutely amongst our fave snacks of all-time. They’re a perfect mix of sweet and savory, creamy and crunchy, and altogether glorious.

We decided it’s best to finish what we started, so here’s a final pumpkin recipe to leave you on a high note. The Pumpkin Crostini with Rocket Pesto recipe is really versatile; you can sub butternut squash or sweet potato, depending on what you feel like or can find at your local grocer/farmer’s market. But obviously, there’s only one option for this team of all pumpkin everything ;)

The only thing left to do is dedicate the remainder of the fall season to creating every single one of these delicious goodies, and then taste testing, obviously. Which of these 18 Savory Party Foods for Fall are you going to make? We’d love for you to share with us how the recipes worked for you and what kind of party you brought them to!

P.S. Halloween is right around the corner and we’d love to share all the fun things we’ve been doing in preparation for the spookiest holiday of the year, right here!
