a punchy bright backdrop

A wall of scrunched up tissue is possibly the easiest way on earth to decorate for a party. You can fill an entire wall for just a few dollars and about 20 minutes. The look makes a powerfully bright impact in a room. It is perfect in bold colors for parties, lovely in neutrals for a wedding and pretty when done with pastel shades for showers. We’ve used the idea in the past a couple times and I am always astonished how quickly the punches of color brighten up a room.

There are literally only three steps in making the wall; cut the colorful tissue into small squares, then scrunch up and glue the back. I used glue dots which work great to hold and then come easily off of walls. You could also use double sided tape to adhere yours.

After that, it is all about the placement- straight lines, a scattered confetti look and even simple words are all easy to create with this project. Have fun bringing a WOW with this bright punchy detail. (Also, remember this easy peasy way to make a party bright).

PS. Paint chips are literally the easiest party backdrop (I finally starting watching Parks and Rec:).
