Topping off bottles with awesome corks is an easy way to make a bar look celebratory. I found these simple sailor knot corks last week and was reminded how easy it is to make awesome things to put on bottles. They are a nice way to finish off a summer celebration and would be something I’d definitely expect to see topping a drink for The Chew’s summer menu (see clip below). Have you checked out The Chew yet? This is the last post in a short series I am doing to introduce you to the show – it’s a talk show centered around food and entertaining, my favorite kind of talk show.
Creating your own awesome things to top bottles with is incredibly simple. You can basically take anything and glue it on (or stick it in) a cork to top your bottles in style. Make a basic sailor knot like above, use flowers for romantic toppers, toys for fun, crystal or thread. Great for your own parties, dinners and bar – or for gifts to give this summer.
The Chew celebrates and explores life through food – from cooking to food trends, restaurants, holidays and more all aimed at making life better, fuller and more fun. Featuring celebrity chefs Mario Batali, Michael Symon, and Carla Hall, lifestyle expert Clinton Kelly and fresh face of healthy living Daphne Oz, “The Chew” is a leap forward into a delicious new kind of talk show.
