  • 2 teaspoons rapid-rise yeast
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp Coarse salt
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Icing

  • 2-1/2  oz  cream cheese softened
  • tbsp  milk
  • 1-1/2  cups  powdered sugar more if needed

Instructions

  1. Heat milk and 3 tablespoons butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until butter is melted and mixture is warm to the touch. Mix with mixer and sprinkle with yeast. Let stand about 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, granulated sugar, egg, water, and 1 teaspoon salt. Mix on medium speed until combined and fluffy. Transfer to bowl and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 to 2 hours.

  4. Transfer dough and roll out to 15- by-12-inch rectangle. Roll up dough like a jelly roll, then cut crosswise into 10 pieces. Place pieces in pan cut-side up, spaced evenly. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place over night.
  5. In the morning, once the dough has risen. Preheat waffle iron to medium high. Taking about a 1/4 cup of dough place into waffle iron to create fresh from the iron cinnamon roll waffles.

  6. Mix the icing ingredients and stir. Fill a plastic bag or pastry bag and drizzle the icing onto the cinnamon roll waffles.

As much as I love making this cinnamon rolls waffle recipe, it really is the icing drizzle that gets me every time! ;) For that perfect drizzle on your own cinnamon waffle stack: place the icing wither store bought or made with our recipe above in a small plastic bag. Snip off the end corner and drizzle a little over each waffle as you stack them with the top getting the largest amount.
