    After reading a few lucky blogger’s raves about Terrain this last week, I had to peek into their new collection. While browsing I happened upon this very pretty watering can. Although, I would never think to buy a pure polished copper watering can, it did spark an idea…

    I used our own (not so pretty, but clean) watering can to douse out a bit of dressing on an afternoon snack. Splendid! It worked and made a simple snack seem quite festive. It would be an adorable idea for a shower, or in multiples on tables for a spring wedding, even for tomorrow nights late summer dinner party (so fun!). I’m off to find myself much prettier cans to set out on the table.

    baby shower firsts

    A sweet idea to start your week (happy Monday!). This baby shower print is a collection of each guest’s hopes of firsts for the baby boy. Everyone was asked to jot down what they were most excited for baby to experience in this life- a first baseball game, a McDonald’s french fry, a ride on the D train etc. How incredibly sweet is that! The mom says she just poured over it and felt so much love for her soon coming baby.

    recreate | impromptu party seats

    A fun solution for your next “too many butts for available seats” party. This new furniture design entitled Hockenheimer by njustudio could be quickly recreated in your own living room. Stack magazines as high as you would like, belt them together (or use ribbon) and secure a pillow on the top. How easy and completely fabulous!

    Cupcakes with a ginger frosting make me weak in the knees. The flavor would be an unexpected treat for a summer party or a very sweet midweek pick me up.     reason to celebrate | musee des possibles

    One of the most cheerful projects a city could produce, in Montreal’s Quartier de spectacles the people awoke to 500 bright and floating balloons! A project by the Musee de possibles to encourage support and involvement in what the space will become. What a beautiful site to happen upon as you travel into work and a perfect reason to celebrate this Monday morning.

    It would be a rad project to recreate on a much smaller scale covering your backyard for a party. You wouldn’t need much else, just a canopy of extra large balloons above.

    reason to celebrate | floral crowns

    I have two birthday/party hat alternatives to share with you today. This first is very perfect for summer.

    A brilliant idea from Erica and Lauren of honestly WTF. They hosted a midsummer party and had beautiful buckets of wildflowers set out to make DIY floral crowns. The perfect combo of easy decor, a festive summer activity and a really sweet favor to take home. Being crowned with one would be a nicely stylish look for a birthday friend and making them would be a super easy shower activity.
