Starting a new guest series that will showcase a bit of party inspiration mad lib style on Monday’s. Today the inspiration for the series via That kind of woman.

A formal fancy bacon party. My love for bacon combined with my love for fancy parties. Yesss.

Hoping for a bit of quirk to start our weeks together and to introduce you to some of my favorite idea makers around.

A perfect style.

Holly always finds the most amazing new designers to showcase, when I saw this table designed by Cecilie Manz last week I was astonished. Not so much for the table as for the detailed photography design, which is one of my favorites ever! Love… love… love… the play on heavy earthy elements with a note of perfect childish whimsy.

I have begun to collect a pile of inspirational photography designs for an exciting project I am working on next year. If I had to choose a perfect style for my dreams of what this new project would be- this design is it. Looking forward to sharing how I’ll use the different elements very soon.

Dreaming in a vintage storybook

In the midst of all our holiday hoopla, I almost for got to tell you- we are having a very special birthday party for my sweet little babies who are turning two this week and not really babies at all these days!

I have been immersed in vintage storybook design all week in preparation and I cannot wait to celebrate their unique and special story. This frog trapped in a bottle perfectly portrays the whimsical notions that have inspired the magical birthday design.

I have also drawn fabulous inspiration from the storybook looks here, here, here, here & here. Have a happy weekend and I look forward to filling you in on the festive styling soon.

Gifted holiday inspiration

Friday dreaming, dress up

After a fabulous day of shooting a holiday play date at the beach (sneak peak soon). I am off to enjoy a cozy dress up weekend with my family. Do you dress up for Halloween?

Dreaming of… Confetti

This has been my busiest week of the season. I am styling a party tomorrow that I think you will love, plus designing a shoot next week inspired by Ralph Lauren, and I’ve been working on another fun project coming soon. Being this busy has reminded me how much I absolutely adore what I get to do!

On that note… handmade confetti strewn about a floor of distressed wood- for us to dream of together this weekend.

Little swing peak…

A brand new design source made its debut this week, Rue magazine. It is filled with incredible artistic and design inspiration, two fun parties + they even included free printables. A lovely way to spend an hour this weekend.

You can buy them here. I adore them all, especially the ones that say joyful, hopeful & grateful. They will be the perfect touch of sweetness for an upcoming shower or perhaps a cheery swing on Halloween.

Friday dreaming… hanging crates

A goal of mine this fall is to spend more weekends dreaming! Taking time to let my mind wander, to dwell on things that are beautiful and true, giving myself space from the hustle of my organized week. I want my design work to stem from desire and dreams, not tasks and lists.

It is in this spirit that I will be sharing something I am dreaming of on Friday’s with you. A find that has been dog-eared to think upon as I sit lazily on the porch (a mom can hope atleast)…
