Inside: The sweetest bunny cinnamon rolls ever!
There are some traditions that only get better over time. We started serving these adorable bunny cinnamon rolls a few years ago and they have become a spring staple in our house. Every year I’ve learned a new trick to make them taste even better. Last year I started using this awesome cinnamon roll recipe. This year I’ve learned the best way to ice the sweet bunnies.
Instead of a glaze as I’ve used in the past, I made my own cream cheese frosting, which I’ve never actually done before. It was incredibly easy and tastes WAY better than anything I can buy. Why have I not done this before? Tasting my homemade cinnamon roll frosting was one of those hostess moments that made me shake my head in confusion.
Why did I wait so long to try this? I mean… it is crazy easy to make. And it tastes really, really good!
The sweet bunny cinnamon rolls we look forward to every year has officially been taken up a notch.
How to make these adorable bunny cinnamon rolls
To make these adorable breakfast treats, use this cinnamon roll recipe or purchase packaged rolls. Make each roll about 1/2 the actual roll size by cutting the dough strip down before rolling to keep each bunny a normal breakfast serving size.
Once all the dough has been rolled, cut a few of the rolls in half. Each bunny cinnamon roll will be one roll + 2 half rolls on top for the bunny ears. Use your fingers to smooth out the dough and make sure the ears and face are connected enough to bake together.
