cocktails and cookies

12.15.11 Posted in design, holidays, sponsor by Victoria

This party series is sponsored by Sierra Mist Natural made with real sugar, no artificial ingredients and 100% natural flavoring. For more festive holiday recipes like Sierra Mist on Facebook.

Inviting a friends to gather is one of the great joys of the holiday season, there is much to revel in this time of year! We hosted a cocktails and cookies gathering to celebrate the first batch of freshly baked goods and taste our way through a sampling of festive holiday drinks.

Since the house is already decked out for the holidays, decor for a winter gathering is quite easy to pull together. A few branches of fresh cut evergreen, glass bottles filled with snow poms, and a sampling of pretty ribbons created the casually festive feeling I was hoping for.

We sampled two new drinks, Frost Bite Cocktails and Meet me at the Mistletoe Martinis. Which of these Seirra Mist Natural cocktails would you like to try? It was really fun to taste new drinks and by choosing just a few recipes, sampling becomes a very affordable way to host a gathering. We snacked on freshly baked treats (peanut butter blossoms are my favorite!) and sent home goodies in thrifted Christmas tins which are plentiful for the picking if you stock up during summer.

PS. Special thanks to Liz for being so great about tasting under the camera lens.

blessings.
