The best ever cream cheese dip

There are sweet treats everywhere I look this time of year. In the sea of sweets, these cream cheese dip fruity pebble treats are on a whole different (amazing!) level. The cream cheese dip is a mixture of cheese filled whip cream goodness that I can not get enough of. A perfectly sweet consistency that makes all my New Years resolutions not so resolute.

When the dip is covered in fruity pebbles and served on sweet cookies, it adds a yummy crunch and becomes a treat that you will make over and over again.

The best ever cream cheese dip

To make this best ever (so good you’ll devour it) cream cheese dip you will need;

  • 16 oz of cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 8 oz cool whip
  • bright pink food dye

Make the cream cheese dip by placing all the above ingredients (minus the food dye) in a large bowl. Whip together until well combined.

Add in the food dye to get your perfect pink color, we used about 15 drops for this one. Mix well until combined with no visible streaks remaining.

Place a piece of wax paper into a shallow pan and spread the cream cheese dip on top. Place in the fridge for one hour to harden (this makes it much easier to shape). Remove the cream cheese dip from the fridge and remove from the pan. Place the wax paper on a flat surface and shape the cream cheese dip into a heart.

To make the heart into party worthy fruity pebble treats you’ll need about 4 cups of fruity pebbles cereal.

Cover the heart with the fruity pebbles. Sprinkle on top and fill all the sides in with the bright, fun cereal. Once the cream cheese dip has been covered, place in the freezer overnight to set.

Turn the cream cheese dip into fruity pebble treats by serving in small portions on cookies. The dip is a perfect compliment to the crunch of a cookie for a party treat you will serve again and again.

I love how the cream cheese dip looks as a heart mixed with the pink food coloring. I will be making this again (since the first one quickly disappeared) for our office and school Valentines Day parties. It fits in perfect with this sweet time of year.

The fruity pebble treats can also be made in any shape and color… green shamrocks, colorful eggs, or a simple circle for an easy party dessert that you’ll love all year long. Promise!

PS. Another simple Valentines hearts treat you’ll adore.
