dish towel fruit tote

For a quick thank you gift, hand off a pretty dish towel bag filled with locally grown fruit to your hostess or party guests this summer. I spotted similar fruit totes for sale and thought they would make wonderful sewn favors. Unfortunately, I’ve developed an crazy aversion to the sewing machine these days and was happy to find they are just as perfect un-sewn. Plus, when the fruit has been eaten the gift of a pretty kitchen towel remains. Double win!

Make this simple fruit tote by first connecting two ends of a pretty kitchen towel together (this is where you could stitch if you are so inclined). Fill the middle with a selection of fresh seasonal fruits and tie the two ends together in a big bow. Attach a sweet note of thanks for gifting. The whole project should take about thirty seconds to complete.

I am now planning on carrying an extra kitchen towel in my market bag for a chic way to wrap up fruit while shopping. #Itsthelittlethings.
