Flag Football for The Weekend

Hosting a flag football party is a great excuse to have friends over for an afternoon of fun. I put a festive twist on our recent game by designing bright sparkly flags for the ladies and thick leather straps for the guys. Belt trim can be purchased cheaply at your local fabric store, and with the addition of sewn on velcro strips, you can design any type of flag you’d like. Be sure to provide lots of water and treats to refill empty stomachs after the game.

While we belt up for more weekend play, here are a few favorite links from this week:

The coolest clocks I’ve ever seen.

DIY gold dipped feathers that are utterly gorgeous

A perfect handwritten font- thanks Jenny.

The myth of the “next house”, I really struggle with this, do you?

Host a chocolate chip cookie tasting party for a break from the pumpkin next week.

Lights + rope is such an easy idea for setting the holiday mood.

This apple cake is exactly the perfect kind for Sunday afternoon baking.

Faith centered Advent Calendar for kids.

Pantone leaves.

I’m working on a major wall project this weekend using these new decals from Pinhole Press. They are extra big and rad!

PS. If you are looking to help our East Coast friends with the aftermath from hurricane Sandy, here is a great post with simple tips you can do to pitch in.
