The cherry pom pom garland DIY is so cute for any occasion. To make it you’ll leave the long strand you tie in the center of the pom pom (see trim step above, but don’t trim that piece).

  1. Cut a small leaf shape out of green felt.
  2. Cut a small slit in the leaf about 80% of the way to one side and string it just over the top of the long piece before ties onto the garland.
  3. Hang by 2’s with one leaf attached to 2 cute cherries.

And in case your not interested in purchasing a pom pom maker or don’t have the time to wait for it. You can always make the pom poms the old fashion way, with your fingers or with a fork!

To make the DIY pom pom garland without a pom maker.

  1. First wrap yarn around the fork to create a thick and tight circle.
  2. Then remove the yarn circle from the fork and run the length of the yarn tightly around the center to form the homemade pom pom ball.
  3. Tie this string tightly, Then trim all the cut all ends, and fan the pom-pom poof into place.

PS. My favorite pom pom crafter if you’d rather buy your pom poms already crafted.
