    Inspired weekend- Window shopping

04.23.10 Posted in inspiration by Victoria

Psst- Don’t forget to tell me a few words about your mom, today is the last day to win!

I am often asked about what inspires my party and life designs. One of the most lovely activities I can do on a sunny afternoon is to walk around our mall peeking in at the new season’s window displays. Window shopping has become my go-to activity whenever I need a bit of design inspiration- Where else can you stroll by and see a pack of pink balloon poodles, a serious party inspiration just waiting to happen…

    (Anthropologie in Rockefeller Center)

    Other inspiring window displays:

50 of the best Anthropologie window shots on flickr.
J Crew’s ice cream cones & pearls from last summer.
    Bloomingdale’s Newspaper window dress.
Small designer displays in LA complete with white poodles.

Black & White art in Urban Outfitters.
A sweet window from home display perfect for a rainy day.

A few inspirations that have found fruition in my events-

Kate Spade’s pinwheel window that inspired our latest party.
The plastic bottle widow that inspired our plastic bottle bike wreaths.
The winter snowflake display that prompted the homemade tissue project.

Lastly, in case you ever need to create your own window display- here is an incredible tutorial.

    Have a great weekend!

    blessings.
