Having brightly painted silverware can give you quite the statement piece for your next dinner party. I whipped up these numerical and letter ones that would be awesome to use casually at home or for double duty as escort cards at a larger event. In shocking pink they give the perfect boost of happy for a warm summer day.
To make the painted silverware use a handful of old silver spoons (you can find them very cheap at second hand stores, just be sure to wash well). Purchase a can of perfect edible spray or this easy to use food spray. Attach a small sticker where you’d like to see silver to pop through and spray the rest of the spoon in your favorite celebratory shade.
The spoons look really pretty and guests can actually use them to eat with! After the event the paint washes off easily leaving your pretty silverware to be painted again for another time.

this is so awesome!!!!! too bad there’s no edible spray here in argentina..
If you can’t find it online, check with a local bakery to ask for a source. I often do that if there is something I cannot find on the shelf here.
I love the silver lettering. Brilliant idea!
I love, love, love the color, and the numbers are absolutely adorable!
This is amazing. I can’t believe you can use them to eat! have to get my hands on some of this!! Thanks for sharing. :)
Love this very nice utensils. I don’t like the color much but it still complements if it is used for the children, because children loves colorful things. :D
What a great idea! …The pink and yellow looks brilliant together! I must say I have never heard of edible spray… it’s another thing to add to my list of things to search for when one day I visit the US! H xo
What a fun way to add some color to your table. I’ve never heard of food safe spray paint but it gives me all kinds of ideas.
This is a pretty neat idea! Amazing what a little color can do to improve the appearance of something very common in our household. :) I’d love to have multicolored spoons and forks!
