We had a wonderful first birthday party for the babies over the weekend. It was filled with love and blessing for us all. I am excited to be sharing with you a bit of the festivities from the day. I will be posting one or two posts a day all week since there are so many fun things to show you.
Here we go…
What a joy it was to be surrounded by so many of our family and friends who have loved us, supported us, and stood behind us this year in the raising our babies. I left the party at the end of the day feeling incredibly blessed by everyone in our life.
Dude and Chica thoroughly enjoyed being the center of attention. They had a ball being picked up and carried by anyone they were desirous of. Really, that is all babies want for their birthday at this age. We managed to baby proof the house allowing all the kids to crawl around and be wild throughout the afternoon.
The theme of the day as obvious from the invites was one big balloon we had a large orange balloon centered in the room that said ONE. Another big balloon was placed out front so that guests could easily find the house. It was fun to produce a gender neutral theme. The color inspiration actually came from our stroller of all places.
One of my highlights was having all of the twins grandparents and great-grandparents at the party. My grandma flew all the way from New York to be able to celebrate with us.
Grammy & Papa hosted the party at their house helping to set everything up and Grandma Hudgins made all the scrumptious cupcakes (more about those later). Chelsea was also a great blessing- surprising us by photographing the whole event.
All in all, I am pretty sure the babies felt incredibly loved and as a side-gift, so did I.

Awe, what a CUTE party! I can’t wait to see more! Happy Birthday babies!
you put so much time into this and it turned out great.
