    One last orange balloon Horrah.

01.15.10 Posted in design, party by Victoria

A few of my favorite BIG ORANGE BALLOON party pictures, I wanted to get them all up and posted in good viewing size. Read the whole event story with all the lovely details HERE.

    A recap…

We hosted a boy/girl 1 year old birthday party this past December. The party theme was centered around one big orange balloon. We had a whole bunch of little kids around and they LOVED the balloons both large and small. We attempted to create a party truly focused on things that would make a one year old smile and I think we succeeded. Huge balloons floating above, mac-n-cheese to eat, a ball pit, balloon animals, a balloon face decorating contest and ball topped cupcakes surely brought grins to the kids faces. Plus, we had a video booth for the adults to play in and we worked hard compiling my husband’s and my own tweets over the past year to create a banner sharing our most lovely moments with our family and friends.

The people- we celebrated with a handful of our closest friends and family. It was wonderful to party with so many who have supported and stood by us through the joys and trials this year has brought.

The food- treats to make any child smile! We had popcorn bags, miniature mac & cheese cups and the most amazing cupcakes to celebrate the day.

The party decor was bright and cheery- it included balloon molds of string hanging from the ceiling, fabric printed balloons announcing the birthday year, a large banner containing all of our first year twitter love, and homemade hats with felt party balloons.

The games were designed with both adults and kids in mind. We had a large ball pit set up, a video booth to capture Happy Birthday greetings, a balloon animal making station plus each guest brought with them a balloon face they had decorated for judging. Everyone large and small had a great time.

For the party favors I used this tutorial and created miniature pinatas filled with candy. They were a big hit and quite fun for the kids to open.

    blessings.

I love this party. Very unique. The circle banner with the Tweets is such a great idea. I hope to incorporate a photo booth at my daughter’s upcoming birthday soon.
