Inspired by these pretty ceramic wall cones, I thought a temporary paper floral cone display for the house would be a perfect welcome to this first day of the summer season. A very simple display to put up, the paper cones would be a pretty backdrop for a party, or a nice way to make a temporary wall update for the season of farmer’s market flowers and long afternoon naps.
To make the paper floral wall cones, start with a full page of colored scrapbook paper, a roll of wax paper, and a bouquet of your favorite flowers. Measure out an equal size wax paper and glue to fasten to the back of each page of scrapbook paper. For the smaller cones, cut the paper down by 1/3; leave the larger ones full-size.
Once the paper is coated with wax roll your cone into form. Glue together along the back crease, once you have found a good shape to work with. The cones will hang nicely on the wall with balls of my favorite temporary glue, or for a more permanent display nail in the back with tiny photo nails (you won’t even notice the holes once the cones come down).
Lastly, fill with flowers! Use small floral tubes to keep water access to your flowers. They will stay beautiful and the wax paper will take care of any drips along the way.

This looks like an easy DIY! Love the results. This would make a great backdrop for sure. Thanks for sharing.
Oh I love these! What a fun surprise for someone to walk in on for their birthday or any special kind of day. So easy too.
How pretty!
Pretty and pretty easy too! Thanks for the idea, Victoria. Just shared via FB (All Things Paper).
The cones are a fantastic idea! But WHERE did that settee come from? I’ve been searching high and low for one and the few I’ve found are in terrible colors!
