We are home from our summer vacations this week and readjusting to life. This photo was taken on a rooftop in DC, I’ll be sharing more from our travels and this fun party shoot next week.
But first… we had the best experience at a party this summer because of this genius idea that will change our parties forever. At a recent dinner party the host hired a babysitter! It was perfect.
The party invite said kids are welcome + care will be provided.
There was a babysitter, games, pizza, and toys set up in a separate room. It was parent party bliss.
I didn’t have to find a babysitter.
I didn’t have to pay a babysitter.
My kids got to feel a part of the celebration.
I was freed up to enjoy the food, drinks, and friends knowing that my kids were being cared for down the hallway.
The sitter was willing to watch the handful of kids for a reasonable rate and all the parents invited had a blast. I plan to steal this party trick for all future celebrations. For the cost of a bottle of wine – parties can be made even greater for all the families invited.
