A great thing about doing a bird themed shower in the spring is that the ideas can be seamlessly carried over to celebrate a plethora of other spring affairs- Easter, wedding showers, birthdays- so many lovely chances to incorporate birdie projects.
While I get the rest of the shower photos ready to share with you later today I wanted to give you quick peek at one of my favorite little details this morning.
A DIY peep show-
I used an old frame we had sitting around, spray painted it red and painted the cardboard photo-backing with chalkboard paint. I used left over ribbon (from the earlier bird tail feathering) and a small amount of glue to make the miniature bunting.
Instantizer is the site I used to make the polaroid pictures- you can turn any picture into a polaroid in just a second- it is brilliant! I used the site to convert directional photo’s explaining the DIY dipping station. Download photo’s for your own peep show HERE.
The peeps were set out in a tall serving dish ready to be dipped.
We covered small bowls in yarn to make little nests for holding the dippings. We offered melted dark chocolate, sprinkles and cinnamon to dip the peeps in.
A yummy and cheery addition to our bird shower that was easy and super cheap to make.
blessings.
