With holiday break coming at us quick (my kids get 3 full weeks off!), I am already starting to think about how to fill that time. Luckily, when the weather is freezing outside we can cozy up inside making fun shakes and snuggling up to hilarious movies. This year our movie at home plan definitely includes Despicable Me 3 Special Edition, the #1 animated comedy of the year, which is now available on Blu-ray & DVD is sure to be one the entire family will love.
Give the gift of a movie and a promise of a freak shake to the kids this year and then make it way more fun with Minion bananas and a mix of peppermint ice cream and chocolate sauce. It will be an afternoon at home everyone will remember.
Minion Freak Shake
To make the Minion Freak Shake Toppers you will need:
- Bananas
- Silver sharpie
- Black sharpie
- Adhesive googly eyes
- Skewer.
1. Using the silver sharpie draw two circles (or one) a little larger than the googly eyes to make the minions goggles.
2. Using the black sharpie draw the goggle strap around the banana, the minions mouth and little hairs.
3. Stick the googly eye(s) in place.
4. When ready to use the banana cut it in half, slide it onto a skewer, and slide into your shake.
Whipping up this awesome looking shake is just a matter of stacking ice cream end blending it with a bit of chocolate syrup. The kids will be thrilled for it. The shake plus the Minions on the TV will provide hours of family fun for us. Check out the trailer below:
