pretty pumpkins and a cozy weekend

The leaves in our neighborhood have finally started to turn and it is hard for me to not be outside this time of year. We are headed to a pumpkin patch this weekend which sounds just about perfect. Here’s a sneak peak of painted pumpkins I’ve been working with. I used a coat of pearlized Martha Stewart paint over a white base and the pumpkins ended up with a very glamorous sheen to them. Like jeweled accents to the season. What are your plans for painting and carving pumpkins this year? I’d love to know.

More fall goodness coming up next week. In the meantime here are my favorite links from around the blogging world…
