Rainbow Color House Number

Greeting everyone at the door for your next party is fun with a little rainbow color added to your front house number. We took cues from our love of letter boards this season and created a rainbow color house number that will make sure every guest finds the right door. It is such a bright and fun statement for coming home any day.

Porches are like the party invitations of our houses. They announce to anyone coming what to expect when they walk inside. I adore the bright and revelorious statement this rainbow color house number makes for our space.

Rainbow Color House Number

To make the rainbow color house number you will need:

  • Small white frame
  • Cardboard
  • Felt
  • Glue
  • Foam backer (or white metal numbers)

1. Start by creating the letterboard for hanging the rainbow colored house number. To do this you will take the length of cardboard that matches the frame size and carefully spread out the felt onto it. As the felt stretches it will take on the same grooves of the cardboard giving you the letter board look in any color imaginable! It’s a favorite. :) Glue into place.

2. Next create the address numbers with foam core poster board. Cut out the numbers and glue a small piece of felt to the back of each number to hold it into place. For a more weatherproof option use real metal numbers or stick on the white mailbox address stickers to the letterboard.

3. Place the letterboard into the frame and gently place the numbers onto the board for hanging.

Find a spot… by the front door and get ready to add a colorful dose of personality to your front entrance today! This fun rainbow color house number would also make a great welcome gift for the house party down the street.

PS. Nothing wrong with a little pineapple doorbell.
