Recap 2012: Favorite Parties

2012 was a year of great parties! I found myself straying further and further away from the everyday party ideas and enjoying more creativity and materials for use in our party spaces. Here are my favorite party moments from the year.

I hosted a truffle and wine party at the Alt summit in January, where Emily Henderson and other loved bloggers hung out for most of the evening. Sufficient to say, I left the evening smiling for days.

Also in January, I styled an engagement party on the dock up at Lake Tahoe. It was a freezing cold, beautiful, blast.

This yarn wrapped bridal shower was a wonderful way to brighten up the winter.

And the twins turned three! We threw a pizza party in black and white (photos from #4 will be coming up this month).

I was so pleased to share this little girl fairy party; the sweet girly vibe stole my heart.

One the warm weather hit, this summer lunch on the beach immediately had me dreaming of 90210 (the original) and vacations we would soon be taking.

In August we traveled to New York and our whole family was a part of my little brother’s wedding at Hunter Mountain. It was one of the most beautiful places, and a very special day for us all.

Later that week, I had the chance to meet and party with some of my favorite bloggers + readers right in the heart of NYC.

I was inspired for a late summer getaway by this unique bridal shower road trip party.

We talked about dinner party manners, and I shared tips on how we teach them to our kids.

Hosting an un-birthday party was a tip everyone seemed to love – to celebrate with family from far away.

We welcomed the holidays with a traditional Scandinavian cookie exchange, including easy hosting tips and great recipes.

And finished off the year with a simple Christmas feast, shot in film – a perfect end note to 2012.

Thanks for celebrating with me in 2012! See a full list of parties here and the entire 2012 recap right here.
