tall kraft cone party hat

03.05.12 Posted in diy, hats, parties by Victoria

The second installment in our spring hat series is a large kraft paper hat with neon green bow. I cannot think of any happier way to celebrate a birthday headtop!

To make the hat use a large roll of kraft paper cut down to a 36 inch piece. Roll into hat form and glue into place. Cut down the bottom for a straight line fit. I placed the word happy on with stickers before painting. Use that idea or create words and shapes as you’d like and then paint the hat with spray paint in a bright party hue (remove stickers once dry). Punch two holes evenly placed at the bottom of each hat and string with a neon thread. Make the thread extra long (24 inches) for a funky and pretty side bow.
