    Thrifted bunting

08.03.10 Posted in design, diy, party by Victoria

Here is your first sneak peak at the handcrafted wedding I styled last month. Looking forward to sharing the photos with you, but in the meantime…

I used an old thrifted dress I had been keeping on hand to make this whimsical bunting for our guest photo booth!

It was so easy- Simply cut rectangles from any old dress. Using fabric glue wrap one side around a length of ribbon. This project has left me dreaming about making bunting with everything. It would also be an adorable project to do using bins of extra baby clothes- make bunting out of the items you love for a special birthday party! Plus it would be cute hung up in the child’s room afterward.

    blessings.

what a simple and beautiful bunting! i am always intimidated by bunting because i can’t sew a stitch. but fabric glue i can handle!

i can’t wait to see more photos.

Yes, exactly! I can actually sew but it always seems like so much work:)

Lovely! I am sure the dress appreciated its second life as something so pretty.

Ohh that bunting fabric looks so pretty. I’m looking forward to seeing the wedding!

Also, I got the PB card yesterday…yay. :) Thank you.

    5. Vicky, this (as always) is such a great idea! Having twins, I have two of everything and there were so many cute clothes from when the girls were little I hate to part with! This would a perfect project to use them for!!
