The yarn weave wall hanging trend has become one of my favorite ways to liven up a room. The texture and designs are subtle and gorgeous at the same time. I thought the concept would look wildly fun done in tinsel for a holiday celebration! Enter in the tinsel weave wall hanging. To replace our favorite yarn weave hangings, just until the new year.
This piece adds a serious amount of spunk to any room and can quickly become the focal point for a last minute decor update or NYE party.
Tinsel Weave Wall Hanging
To make the tinsel weave wall hanging you will need:
- About 80-100 feet of the base tinsel
- A colorful weaving topper tinsel
- A wooden dowel
1. Start by tying the base tinsel onto the dowel, we cut it in length of 5 feet and tied two together to form the top loop.
2. Next weave the topper tinsel in and out from the base layer, and then again going the opposite direction on the next round. Back and forth. Taking the topper tinsel 1/2 to 3/4 way down the hanging will give you the look of a yarn hanging but with great holiday style.
Hang on the wall and let the party start! I just adore a colorful way this piece fills a room for our end of the year festivities.
