Wear It & Share It: Hearts

Valentines Fun

Introducing a new post series for the year… Wear it & Share it! I’ve been thinking about how to bring more revelry into the real life of living daily, running errands and blessing others. The easiest way to do this is to just share it with the people around us. Each month we will be taking a concept that I am loving right now and giving inspiration for how we can both wear it & share it within our communities.

This month it’s all about love and hearts!

Funny Face Valentines

As an adult, it can be awkward to hand out Valentines. Because no grown up wants to buy a box of kid Valentines to hand out, but making something cool seems like a lot of work.

We’ve got you covered with these really funny Valentine heart faces. Making a set is super easy to create and they are graphically cool enough that you can hand them out to coworkers, teachers and friends with a wink and a hug. This year especially, I’d encourage us all to hand out Valentines… everyone can use a little extra love and a smile.

To make the funny face Valentines you will need:

  • Two papers for both sides of the heart
  • A few extra colors for the details
  • Scissors
  • A black sharpie

Cut out two matching hearts and glue them together. On the blank side add in the eyes, funky nose and heart for the mouth. A few graphic shapes (feel free to take inspiration from above) will create a simple and fun Valentine to hand out to everyone you know.

We took the concept downtown and tried our hand at handing out hearts to the people around. It was a fun way to give a little love to our city.

I also find that Valentine’s Day can be a hard day to dress for. Not the going out part… that part is easy.

But if you have actual errands to do during the day: kids, work, and life, then a slinky red dress is not in the cards. Here are a couple cute looks to wear while handing out Valentines or picking up kids that don’t require you to adorn in full on red carpet look.

Valentine look

A vote for love t-shirt that is great for Valentines or any day considering the world climate right now (plus it’s on sale!), a sweetheart necklace & red heart sunglasses just for fun.

heart tights

Black heart tights to wear under holey jeans or under a skirt to the office for a subdued Valentines look.

Heart patch sweater

A heart patch sweater… I am loving this one, this cute striped one and this heart patch cardigan right now.

Valentine dress

Cactus hearts and pink converse are a fun Valentine’s update without any red at all! Add in pink sunglasses and wear a heart while you are sharing the love this Valentine’s day.
