This post is done in partnership with Wayfair.
When we started the renovation process in this house, I knew I wanted it to be a mix of classic and festive. Classic because it’s what I love to look at long term (plus, resale one day) and festive because it’s truly our family brand. Even outside of running this site, our family functions in a colorful bright style. I love pink IRL as much as I do here on the site. ;)
During our phase 1 renovation process we focused on the getting the bones of the house in order and really updating everything from flooring, to the kitchen, to all three bathrooms! See most of our before and after spaces right here.
And I’m so grateful for Wayfair and how they came alongside us in this process to really make our renovation fit our personal style.
I thought it would be fun to share a few favorite pieces we’ve gotten over the past 3 years. I wonder how much your home reflects your own personal style? Maybe this is exactly the inspiration you need to bring it to life.
I am also a HUGE fan of simple storage solutions and these cubbies work perfectly for storing craft supplies out of site.
Another favorite purchase for the house was this set of three scones we put up in the living room. With very little overhead light they really bring a burst of personality and brightness to the space.
Also in the living room are these rocket chairs that we were so happy we found. I’ve had a number of friends buy them after coming over because they are literally the most comfortable seat in the house!
Of all the rooms in our renovation, I think the kitchen got the most updated! You can see the before and after kitchen renovation right here and watch how we created these DIY concrete countertops that I still gush over daily! Our sink and faucet were last minute buys from Wayfair and the quality + style is so good!
The product that gets the most comments in our house, is this gorgeous beaded chandelier in our dining room. It is so fun and gives a big win for the bright color world, while also feeling really at home in a white & gray dominated space. Here is a similar one that would also look fun!
I was thinking the other day about all the circle mirrors we have around the house and how fun it is to add texture with shapes. This specific mirror was really affordable and makes a great centerpiece in the basement bathroom letting the light we have bounce off the walls. We also purchased this circle mirror for our master bath renovation & even our bathroom tile (see the full small master bath renovation here).
Anyway you set up your house, finding those perfect finishing pieces that bring all the personality into the space is really important. I love how a site like Wayfair is easy to navigate with affordable options and interesting finds to finish off any upcoming renovation.
