  1. Game Night

There are few things quite as fun as a good game night. If you’ve got a group of competitive friends, this is the perfect idea for you. Your friends can battle it out over your favorite party game. Or pitch in for a new game you’ve never played before. Host an old-school game night with a variety of classics like charades, Pictionary and Scattergories.

If you and the girls are feeling a little risqué, you can break out the adult games like Cards Against Humanity or What Do You Meme. Get some ideas from the girls beforehand to find out which types of games they’re looking to play! Then set out an array of options and let the games begin.

  1. Crafting Night

Working on a craft project with other people can be rewarding because it’s a great way to spend time together while focusing on an activity. Plus being around others may even help inspire your own work.

There are so many great crafts you can do with the gal pals, but painting with diamonds is one of the most popular options. This craft uses small, faceted beads that resemble diamonds to create a piece of mosaic art. This means that the small beads are placed in such a way that they create a larger picture when complete. There are dozens of great options for these projects, from nature and ocean scenes to cities and skylines. You can each work on your own project or put your skills together to complete one.

  1. Wine Night

Nothing screams “girls night” like a night of wine, cheese, and your favorite movie or TV show. Get the girls together to indulge in your favorite vinos paired with artisan cheeses. Then get cozy on the couch and put on your favorite chick flick like Legally Blonde or The Notebook. If you’re not in the mood for that kind of movie, discuss with the girls and find something that you can all agree on. If you want to turn your wine night into more of a party, you can ask everyone to bring a bottle or two of wine and arrange your own blind wine-tasting.

4. Spa Night

A favorite for many girls night in, spa night is an evening of true pampering and self-care. If you’re hosting, you can have robes and slippers ready for the girls. Another option is to ask them to bring their own, and then let them know the at-home spa treatment options. These treatments include a variety of face masks, eye masks and hair masks. Then bust out the nail polish for anyone who wants to get a mani/pedi.

To take the spa night to the next level, you can offer the use of a foot bath, if you own one, for people to use before their pedicure. You’ll need to change the water between each use, of course. But it really brings the event to the next level.

5. Book Club

Gathering your friends together for a book club is a great way to spend time together while also learning and picking up a new hobby. Discuss with the girls ahead of time to select the book that you want to read. Then, determine a reasonable amount of time to give the group to read to a pre-selected section of the book or the book in its entirety.

If you want the book club to meet more often and discuss the plot as it’s unfolding, you can plan to have a weekly or biweekly meeting. At the end of each girls night in book club meetings, you can come up with a few questions that you think about as you read the next section.

If you prefer to run the book club by meeting only after everyone has finished, then you may only want to meet once a month or so. In this case, everyone should have a predetermined list of questions to think about and answer as they read the book.

6. Clothes Exchange

Most of our closets could always use a little spring cleaning! But what do you do with all the clothes you decide to ditch? Of course, donating them is a great way to support nonprofits! Sometimes it’s hard to say goodbye to items that used to be our favorite but have fallen out of favor.

There’s some strange comfort in knowing that your clothes have been passed on to your friends. Ask the girls to clean out their closets before your next girls’ night! Then bring all the discarded items and let everyone exchange clothing! Whatever ends up leftover can still be donated to a good cause. You can even make this a regular girls’ night every season! Then as you clean out your wardrobe and add in your new seasonal attire.
