During our holiday at the beach play date we turned the kids into artists allowing them to color on boxes of white wrapped presents.
We built a little tent which I have been dying to do for months, made it comfy with a blanket and pillows and let them get to work creating their own wrapping masterpieces. Afterward, we gently peeled the paper off the packages to be used for real presents when the season comes.
If you’re planning on having kids at Thanksgiving, setting up a present coloring area would be a fun way to keep them occupied and handing over the custom designed wrapping paper afterward will win you much praise from a parent with a very long holiday to-do list!
PS. Three poles and a blanket is all you need to build a rad little tent, you should definitely do it soon;)
