beer tasting for Dad + giveaway

Give dad something he will truly enjoy for Father’s Day this year, beer! A beer tasting gift is both thoughtful and easy to put together. Adding photo labels from Pinhole Press with cute a snapshot of the kids will make the gesture extra special.

To give a great beer tasting gift pack, pick out a selection of different brews. A local brewery is a great place to start or a craft beer store will have a fun selection as well. Try to pick out bottles he would love but not normally buy for himself. Soak the bottles in warm water to release the labels. I saved all my labels by laying them on sheets of paper so Matt could connect the tab to the actual brew. On the papers I wrote a quick sentence as to why I picked that specific brew. Some were special to us and others just looked fun to drink. Replace the label with photos of the family and pack up in a simple box for delivery.

  1. My favorite photo gift idea for fathers day (and one im already in the process od doing is having our little girl hold the letters D-A-D in three seperate pictures and then collaging them into the word in a 3 photo frame. I think its a cute way to remember how little she is now when we look back later on =)

  2. My dad is a mining engineer, who believe the free notepads and calenders from the vendors at work are the height of cool. While I’ve been considering giving him an insulated mug with family photos on it, since he would actually use that, Pinhole Press’s journals are making me lean towards a photo journal to encourage him to write his life’s story. The past year or so has been pretty momentous in our family, and it’s making me realize how important it is to have these things written down for future generations.

  3. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was completely stumped on what to give my husband for his very first Father’s Day. His birthday is the week before and I went all out on that gift…so, his father gift needed to be much more affordable. The beer tasting ideas is PERFECT for him (he even has a beer blog.) Pretty sure the beer bottle label is the route I’d have to go!

  4. Beer is my husband’s AND my dad’s favorite thing! So I have to say these labels are definitely my fsvorite photo idea.

  5. I love the calendars. My husband does a lot of work from home… and seems to struggle with being productive… knowing his little girls are in the next room over! I think the desk blotter is a great idea.

  6. I really like the Silver Plated Framed Photo because this is the stage that my father is in he is a grandfather who loves his grandchildren
