Bring your favorite emojis to life… on the tree with these Big DIY Emoji ornaments!
Using clear ball ornaments and a bit of paint creates the best little faces for adorning Christmas in every mood imaginable. I loved all the feelings this emoji feeling cake felt, and now to create all the feelings on a tree is great fun.
The faces make an awesome gift idea as well. Package a box to a friend of her most used emojis and be ready to take the gold ribbon at the secret Santa gift exchange this year.
To make the big ball emoji ornaments you will need:
- Vinyl in red, pink, blue, white, brown, and black
- Clear big ball ornaments
- Yellow spray paint
DIY Emoji Ornaments
1. Spray paint the clear ornaments yellow. Allow them to dry before placing on the vinyl. This will make it easier to remove the vinyl and place it again if you make a mistake.
2. Using a vinyl machine cutter or scissors, cut out the eyes and mouths of each emoji smile face.
3. Once the ornaments are dry, stick the faces on. If you accidentally put a part of the face in the wrong place on the ornament, carefully peel it back up so you don’t take off any of the paint and re-stick it.
Tie fishing line around the loop in the DIY Emoji ornament and hang on the tree to give the Christmas tree happy feelings this year, or package up for an emoji loving friend.
PS. An Emoji cheat sheet and also the plural of emoji, because, of course, I had to look it up. ;)

Where do you find the vinyl? Would like to make these, but not sure I can find them in my area
Where can I find a template for the emoji faces?
If you are careful, you could use duct tape instead of vinyl.
