Summer is here you guys! The days are getting longer and we are grilling everything, including our desserts! These caramel sea salt s’more cups are all I want to eat this season and with our Sara Lee® Pound Cake from Target & our grill on hand – they are exactly the tasty dessert I’ll be devouring every time we have friends over. These s’more cups are particularly fun because they are made on the grill so everyone can watch as the marshmallow filled goodness comes to life.

Easy, tasty and made in advance!
Caramel Sea Salt Smores Cups
The perfect camping recipe for cooking on any grill.
- 1 package Sara Lee Pound Cake
- 8 squares Caramel filled chocolates
- 1 cup Marshmallow fluff
- 1 tbsp Coarsely ground sea salt
Thaw the pound cake per package directions. Once thawed, slice into about 2 inch slices. Use a small glass to cut a hole from the center of each slice which will become your smore cup.
Use a small paring knife to empty out the center of each cup, making sure you leave a little pound cake at the bottom (don't cut all the way through).
Now you have a small cup to fill! Fill it with caramel chocolate broken into small pieces.
Just before grilling, fill a pastry bag, or a plastic bag works great too, with marshmallow fluff. Using a small tip, top each s'more cup with the fluff on top. Add in a couple mini marshmallows for fun if you have them lying around.
Place each of the caramel sea salt smore cups directly on the grill grates until the bottoms get all toasty and the chocolate/marshmallows begin to melt.
The s’mores cups are quick to create our of cake with the use of a small glass.
Note* You can do all this prep work a couple hours in advance to make the evening even easier, just cover the pre-made smores cups with plastic wrap in the meantime.
Place each of the caramel sea salt s’more cups directly on the grill grates until the bottoms get all toasty and the chocolate/marshmallows begin to melt. It’s best to use tongs for this step. The kids had a blast watching their s’more cups become gooey treats right before their eyes.
Finish off the tops of the s’more cups with a little torching to get the campfire look – although they taste great even without this step. And then sprinkle the coarse sea salt on top before enjoying. This trick also works great on our smores cake.
