I think a lot about revelry in our everyday lives. Of course I love holidays, I think birthday’s are rad… but when it comes down to it – those moments are so few and far between in our year. I find such a thrill out of making the everyday a bit more special and fun, because everyday deserves a party (or so the tagline of this blog says!). I’ve been wanting to give greater glimpses into my own life and how our family does this, which is why this post, sponsored by P&G, is so perfect. One thing I’ve found out while enjoying revelry on a daily basis is that the little things really make a difference. Want to make life more fun? Want to cheer everyone up? You don’t have to throw a massive event… maybe just buy a $10 disco ball and hang it up in the laundry room, or in the kitchen to catch the evening sun while you make dinner (from experience this might be the best $10 you ever spend!). Stash a couple balloons at the bottom of the laundry basket for the kids to find when putting away their clothes. Simple and festive ways to make everyday, even laundry day, a merry one.

We tried out the new Tide Pods available at Target and I was surprised at how much easier they made our family laundry time. Instead of measuring, pouring, and inevitably getting sticky in the process of loading our detergent, I just tossed a Tide Pod into the washer and we were ready to roll (as easy as tossing a balloon).

I was thrilled that all my washing needs were taken care of in such a little package… leaving me more time to focus on thinking up ways to make life more special for my family (like stashing the dryer full of balloons and letting the kids know their laundry is ready to take upstairs). It’s the little things that allow us to revel in the everyday.
