DIY Back To School Snack Bags

This post has been sponsored by The Coca-Cola Company. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

With school back in session and fall sports in their prime, I find myself playing chauffeur mom more than not after school. When the kids get off school, they are so hungry. Having snacks we can enjoy on the go that are good for us is a top priority of mine.

To kick the year off, we created DIY snack bags to bring along each day. I think of them as a lunchbox but for snacks. The bags are great since they fit my favorite ZICO® Pineapple Mango & Odwalla® Mango Tango® along with fresh cut fruits, making them a good-for-everyone snack for our busy fall school season.

Also, save your money with this coupon for $1 on fresh cut fruit when you buy any 2 Odwalla 15.2 fl oz or ZICO 13.5 fl oz at any of the Albertsons Companies family of stores. Offer valid with digital coupon.

To create the DIY snack bags, I let the kids each pick out a small bag they'd want to bring along for afternoon activities. We shopped the iron-on patch section and picked out a number of patches they loved, 90% of which were emojis because 9 year olds. ;)

The custom created bags only took about 10 minutes to make, but the kids adore having a space for their afternoon food. Plus, it keeps everything easy and together for me. Basically, I see the bags as a good prevention so that my car does not become the go-to snack bag of choice.

In each bag, we put a combination of the food they will love and the stuff I want them to fuel up with after school.

This week, it's Odwalla Mango Tango, ZICO Pineapple Mango, fresh cut fruit and usually a special something to pull it all together.

I find afternoon snacks go much better when I let the kids enjoy a piece of the planning and have something they love included. By working together, it makes nutrition at snack time easy. We created these fun fluffer fruit sandwiches the other week, and they were a huge hit!

To create them, we combined our fresh cut fruit from Safeway with marshmallow fluff and crackers. Buying fresh fruit already cut up at Safeway is one of those little things in life that make our days so much easier. Keeping the fruit in our fridge means crafting snacks, lunches, and even breakfast is easy for the entire family. Pair this easy recipe with a ZICO Pineapple Mango or an Odwalla Mango Tango and you're good to go!

Making the back-to-school season more fun and simple is always a win in my book! How do you handle after-school snacks? May I suggest custom snack bags that will save your car and your sanity this year.
