Celebrating the 4th of July doesn’t have to be all read, white and blue. Taking cues from our favorite colors we’ve decided to recreate the look of a fun firework show… with balloons! The long bursts of color will be a welcome addition to any Independence Day party. The firecracker balloons can be hung from the ceiling at home or placed on stakes like the outdoor balloon stakes for an outside BBQ.
We played around with a few different shapes and ended up really liking the way the balloons look with small balls at the end – just like a firework when it bursts into shape.
To make the firecracker balloons you will need:
- Long skinny balloons (this pack has great colors!)
- Fishing wire for hanging
Firecracker Balloons
1. Start by blowing up all the balloons and then twisting the top parts of the balloons together.
2. Twist out some of the ends to create the small ball explosions.
3. Hang with fishing wire, or attach to a long wooden dowel for placing in the ground.
Crackle, Bang, Pop!
