As much as I love pies, cakes and sweets of all kinds for a party… in everyday life, I try to ensure my kids are eating somewhat healthy. To ward off the desire they seem to have developed for enjoying chocolate milk every night of the week, we started making our own flavored milk out of berries, honey and milk. They love the taste and I love that they are getting a serving of fruits in with their nightly meal.
The favorite milk flavor so far is strawberry, and it is so much better for the kids than using the syrup you can purchase at the store. It is awesome to serve my kids at home, and it looks amazing chilled and bottled up for a party. The berry-blended milk is a fun idea for next time you want to celebrate, but still sneak in a bit of healthy fruit.
To make the berry-blended milk, combine 1/4 cup berries (we love using blackberries, raspberries and strawberries for our milk) with 1 tsp of honey and 1/4 cup of water. Blend until liquefied, split, and stir the liquid into 2 cups of milk. The result is a perfect hint of sweet with an added healthy boost.
To serve the milk in adorable party bottles, liquefy well, bottle, and set in fridge until they are ready to use. To make the flavored milk as a more substantial treat, try adding a cup of milk and 1/2 cup yogurt directly to the blender for a frothy shake that will cure all sweet cravings and give you a quick daily health boost.
When fairlife ultra-filtered milk asked me if I wanted to try out their real milk – only better, I thought, exactly! That is exactly what my kids need: milk that is better and tastes better too.
Add my little blended berry trick with their 50% more protein and 30% more calcium milk and we are talking serious healthy drink time. Plus with fairlife ultra-filtered milk having half the sugar of ordinary milk, my little fruity update is in perfect company. After all, shouldn’t we be saving those sugar calories for donut cakes!?!

I just love the pretty pink colour of strawberry milk! I’m not a fan of fruity milk but maybe I haven’t given it enough of a chance ❤
