honey lavender soda

For the honeycomb baby shower I served a lavender honey soda. It was my first attempt at herbal soda making and it was amazing! I made a second batch this week to drink myself, it is incredibly refreshing on a hot afternoon.

To make the soda; combine 1 cup of honey with 1 cup of water and 1 tablespoon of lavender florets (find these in the spice section). Simmer until combined, about three minutes. Strain most of the lavender out and let chill until ready to use. To mix the soda stir in equal parts lavender syrup and lemon juice. Then add equal parts seltzer water to top off each glass. Serve over ice. Enjoy.

PS. Another refreshing lemon treat.

  1. This sounds amazing! I love lavender flavored anything and have some buds drying from my garden right now… I just jotted down the recipe to make some this afternoon. Can’t wait!

  2. I love this! We often make fancy soda’s like this, including a lavender one, but how have I never thought to add honey? Must try next time.
