host a subtle and spooky halloween

With the official first day of fall behind us, I cannot wait to jump right in to share some of my favorite ideas and inspirations for a subtle and spooky Halloween party. The holiday was not always my favorite, but having two toddlers has completely changed it for me. With so many fun things coming up this month – here’s a quick primer:

dark cake | candy bar wrappers | black wreath | gold bats | place cards | ghost template

Oh I love those little bats!!!! I’m excited that fall is here. It’s a chilly 59 degrees today in Toronto and I’m totally digging my boots and scarfs. *sigh* I love fall!

I’m also excited because I’m celebrating TWO Thanksgivings this year. Canadian Thanksgiving (Oct 8) and American Thanksgiving!

Freya, two Thanksgivings sounds like so much fun! I’d love to hear more about how it is celebrated in Canada.
