Magnetic Scrabble Wall

I’ve been partnering with Target this month to brighten up our home for spring. This project inspired by my new cake plate, and is by far my favorite project we have done to update the house.

Matt and I had taken to writing notes to each other with the kids refrigerator magnets and it seemed like such a fun idea to bring up to the wall! So we created a full sized scrabble wall in our breakfast nook. Now we can write sweet notes over coffee and even leave to-do’s posted for each other when necessary (although those are much less fun!).

To create the scrabble wall we used magnetic paint, scrabble tiles, and stick on craft magnets. Just a warning, the magnetic paint is thick black (like tar), and will need to be covered in a dark color, or many coats of something light. I was surprised at how well the magnetic portion of the paint actually works – even with two top coats over it.

For the letters, we cut out magnets and stuck them to the back of basic scrabble letters.

It’s Time for Springtime.

Compensation was provided for this post by Target. The project is all mine and are not indicative of the opinions or positions of Target.
