Miniature paper ball ornaments

The trees are up… all 6 of them! Yes, between the family tree, the kid’s trees, the table top tree, the 2 real trees we planted in the front yard we have 6 Christmas trees this year. Which means we’ve been on ornament crafting overload. These miniature paper balls are great for the mini-trees. They are simple enough that the kids can even help craft them and add a fun burst of color to our growing forest at home.

To make the miniature paper ball ornaments, you’ll need colorful holiday paper cut into eight thin strips. Lay the strips out in a star shape and glue together. Circle the papers up and glue together at the top to finish off the balls.

Add a string for bright festive ornaments to fill those too-good-to-pass-up-what’s-one-more impulsive Christmas tree purchases.

And in case you are feeling like, Christmas is in a week (seriously a week!) and why bother crafting right now. These paper balls are also fun present toppers, drink tags, and general party garland fun once the holiday is done.
