There is a family down the street who leaves their fake Christmas tree up all year long! Incase you decide to leave yours up for the week of New Years or even for the next 51 weeks to come, here is a fabulous way to make it play along sans Christmas.
Take down the red and replace with pretty newsprint ornaments! This would amazing if done with old newspapers and sentimental notes complied from the last year. A lovely way to commemorate what has been and say hello to a new year ahead. Find tutorials for paper ornaments here, here and here.

Our neighbors [aka people all over the city] like to leave up their Christmas lights year round. Any ideas on how to make those look better throughout the year? ;-)
