There are so many different things you can do with these cute paint dipped pumpkins. My favorite spot for them is lining my dining room table with different sizes all in a row to make a fun and colorful fall-inspired centerpiece.

They also look great on the outside porch and the painting instead of carving means they won’t rot quote as quickly when set outside. Score for that! Here are a few more fun ideas for your paint dipped pumpkins:

  • Piling them around a windowsill to be seen inside and outside the house
  • Use small pumpkins as colorful place cards for all your fall dining guests

There are just a few simple supplies you will need to make similar paint-dipped pumpkins.

Supplies:

  • Faux or real pumpkins. Real pumpkins always win this time of year, but I also like to use faux ones because I can keep them for years to come.
  • DecoArt Americana Metallic Paints – Again you can use any paint you like, but we used these fun metallic paints for a fun modern twist.

DIY painted dipped pumpkinsInstructions for making these pretty painted pumpkins:

  1. First, start with your bare pumpkin. If you are using a real pumpkin, them make sure you clean the surface thoroughly. I love using faux pumpkins so that every year I can pull out these paint dipped pumpkin and use them over and over again!
  2. Pour a good amount of paint onto your pumpkin starting at the very center.
  3. I found that it helped to gently tilt your pumpkin to help the pain flow a little faster and create more of a fun dripping look.
  4. Let the paint finish dripping on its own. They will take a while to dry because the paint is thick when it is poured on. So give it a few days to completely dry.
