There’s something special about getting a custom photo gift for the holidays. We are constantly looking for new and interesting ways to gift photos of the kids to the grandparents, to out of town family, and even to ourselves! Since making and creating memories is what we really love to do together – it is always a happy gift to receive. We’ve been huge fans of Pinhole Press for their creative take on showcasing memories (remember the easiest decal photo wall or the father’s day fridge magnets?) for years. For their 2016 holiday line Pinhole Press got even more creative and let the kids coloring and story memories take center stage!
An entire line of gifts that can be personalized with your kids doodles and designs makes for a family photo wall that is just really special. I instantly jumped at the awesomeness of these new story starter poster frames.
We printed off some of our favorite memories from different places we spent time over the past year and I let the kids go to town creating a mini-art exhibit at home. I love how my son drew the race track him and Matt raced on with go-carts and how my daughter doodled what she saw out in the water when we were at the beach. Having their doodles and art designs against the photos makes the memories come alive for us.
A set showcasing a year of favorite moments would be a treasured gift for the grandparents to gush over.
The idea to have our kids artwork displayed along with our memories can be done not just as photos, but also as an art pad where the kids draw in the other half of the photo (genius!), or even as a calendar. There are so many fun ways to create personalized photo gifts this year and I am loving them all.
