One of the most cheerful projects a city could produce, in Montreal’s Quartier de spectacles the people awoke to 500 bright and floating balloons! A project by the Musee de possibles to encourage support and involvement in what the space will become. What a beautiful site to happen upon as you travel into work and a perfect reason to celebrate this Monday morning.
It would be a rad project to recreate on a much smaller scale covering your backyard for a party. You wouldn’t need much else, just a canopy of extra large balloons above.

Wow!!! Amazing installation.
Love this! Tres wonderful!!
have you heard of 499 Balloon project that Geronimo is doing in LA? It’s sort of like this one – they’re going to set up 499 balloons all over the city overnight. It must be such a fun thing to wake up to so much color and whimsy!
Oh that’s so fun! It reminds me of that underwater mine field from Finding Nemo but way more safe, colorful, and enjoyable to play in!
Wow, I just want to lay under the balloons all day like the girl in the last picture! Or run through them giddilly like a small child…
this is beautiful! what a clever idea from the city … and a lovely way to capture people’s attention!
What a great way to make a BIG visual impact! I love your idea of doing something like this in a smaller scale for a personal outdoor party or something!
