The problem of hunger in our country affects 16 million people, mostly children, and many of them go unnoticed. With the economic upheaval of the recent years, the face of hunger has drastically changed. There could be children down any of our streets struggling to know when it is they will eat again. For a girl who loves a feast, this does not sit well.
I am really excited to be partnering with Unilever in their #ShareAMeal initiative. I will be gathering together with friends this fall – not just for revelry, but also to do something about the hunger in our own community.
Today, a new documentary is being launched, Going to Bed Hungry: The Changing Face of Childhood Hunger. I’d love for you to watch it and think about what could be done to #ShareAMeal in your own community this fall.
