Gift cards are that special kind of gift that everyone loves to receive, but can sometimes feel a little awkward to give. I personally LOVE receiving gift cards for the holidays – they give me a chance to go out and pick something all for me, which is a rare experience as a busy mom. I partnered with Target to bring you this slice of holiday cuteness as part of their #GiftCardCheer campaign.
A gift card can instantly become that perfect gift for your sister, or friend when it comes with a little extra love and care. It doesn’t take much, but stepping up the wrapping and presenting the card with a special note of thanks, a pre-paid babysitter, or a cup of coffee to enjoy while she is shopping will make the present seem thought out and given with love.
These star pinata boxes are a fun way to gussy up gift card wrapping, they allow you to hand off the card with a bit of festive flair and a few favorite tokens packed inside. To make star pinata gift card holders start with a paper star box. You’ll also need tissue paper and glue.
Cut the tissue paper into small pieces about 1/4 inch wide to make the pinata fringe. Glue in layers around the star, on the sides and over the top.
Stuff with confetti, tissues, a Target GiftCard® and a token or two of thoughtfulness. Tie with a length of thick wool yarn and hand out to your favorite of friends.

Clever! I’ve never thought about other ways to present gift cards, but it definitely makes that gift idea more fun and personalized.
cute!
Wow that box doesn’t seem like it could fit a card, but it does! Awesome! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
