We are in Vegas for the 4th of July this week, which is basically like celebrating on the face of the sun. It is so hot here! To cool off and make an easy way to toast, we whipped up a bar full of fun tropical summer slushies.
The tropical slushies are easy to whip up and will add a festive vibe to your Independence Day celebrations by the pool/beach/sprinklers or wherever you are sitting to keep cool this time of year.
We picked three favorite flavors to slush up for our drink bar and the recipes for all three are easy as a summer breeze. Simply combine all ingredients and blend until slush-worthy.
Mango Peach Slushie
To make the mango peach slushie you will need:
- 1/2 a peach
- 1/4 mango diced
- 1 shot Malibu Rum
- 1 shot Peach Schnapps
- 1 cup ice
- 1 cup DOLE® Canned 100% Pineapple Juice
Pineapple Slushie
To make the pineapple slushie you will need:
- 1/4 cup diced pineapple
- 1/2 a lime peeled and diced
- 1 shot Malibu Rum
- 1 cup ice
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup DOLE® Canned 100% Pineapple Juice
Blue Wave Slushie
To make the blue wave slushie you will need:
- 1/2 banana diced
- 1 shot Malibu Rum
- 5 drops neon blue food coloring
- 1 cup ice
- 1 cup lemonade
- 1 cup DOLE® Canned 100% Pineapple Juice
Top each slushie with a pile of fruit and coconut flakes. Make any of the drinks virgin by leaving out the rum and schnapps for a family-friendly slushie bar set up.
