Early this spring I had the wonderful chance to be involved in the wedding of a friend. She was the most beautiful bride and I am thrilled to share a few photos of the day with you this morning. She wore a gigantic yellow flower in her hair and was married on the Berkley Ferry in downtown San Diego.
I styled only her bright yellow dessert bar, but the entire wedding was especially fun for me because much of the decor was handcrafted and many of the projects were taken from this sites archives. It was wonderful seeing many old projects brought to life!
My favorite chandelier was repainted one last time and hung amidst the dance floor. Yellow and gray felt flower bunting lined the ceilings of the ferry and lemons took center stage stacked in vases throughout the room. The flowers were crafted by the brides friends and family. I love the bridesmaids flowers covered in fabric, a very easy and pretty way to style a hand held bouquet.
Any event seems more special to me when close friends take part in the process. Much of the crafting and floral arranging for the day was done by a good friend of the bride, Hope Peterson. Photography is by Danica Bell.
PS. This the same couple shot in last years pumpkin brunch (love happy endings!).
