Inside: The cutest valentine sequin hearts!
Today finally feels like the first day of the new year. All the decorations are put away, the kids are back at school, and I am already looking ahead (just a bit) to hearts, flowers, and all the loveliness coming up these next few months. These DIY sequin hearts are a great start. Inspired by Ban.do, this DIY version is made with fabric sticker backing so you can stick them on a shirt, a favor bag, a shoe – basically anywhere!
Ways to use these sequins hearts
We added our adorable hearts to these drawstring bags. You can use these bags for different treats, gifts or keep special items together in your purse! What would you fill your cute sequin heart bag with?
How to make these DIY sequin hearts
To make the sequin hearts, you will use fabric stickers (which I also used for the confetti dot skirt), a length of sequin ribbon, and glue. Simple heart cuts, back and forth glue and a bit of trimming is all you need to do. See the step-by-step photos right here.
I am a firm believer that you can never have too many sequins! Here are a few more of my favorite sequin projects! These adorable sequin crowns, sunglass case, and add a little sass to any outfit with these sequin sleeves!

January 7, 2013 at 11:22 amMelissa, Thanks! The striped bag is an older receipt bag from Anthropologie. They send the cutest bags out in mail orders:) You can find the muslin ones right here and a bit of paint would allow you to stripe them yourself! Hope that helps.
